Either Joe Jonas is equal parts delusional and optimistic or Taylor Swift is the most forgiving ex-girlfriend in the world. The singer, who is embarking on a press blitz for his forthcoming solo album 'Fast Life,' hinted to Bliss Magazine (via EW) that a collab with Swift is possible.

Has there been an olive branch extended between this talented and good-looking former couple that we didn't know about? Did we miss something? Because Jonas and Swift had a particularly nasty break up that she spoke about on MySpace blog postings (yes, MySpace) and on her album 'Fearless.' That's not to mention the big reveal on 'The Ellen DeGeneres Show,' where she told the world that he broke up with her during phone call that lasted all of 27 seconds. Swift even looked at the call log, post break up, so that's how she knew how short the chat was. It's the equivalent of breaking up with someone via a tweet.

Okay, so do you see why we're doubtful that Jonas and Swift might work together? Jonas, however, doesn't share our skepticism. "I think there’s a great opportunity for that to happen. We’re friendly, we’re not enemies,” Jonas said. “People like to think that once you’ve dated, that’s it and you can never be friends again. They see it in a very black and white way. But there’s a middle-ground in that situation."

Wait, what? Joe, it's painfully obvious that the confessional Swift writes songs about her exes. She doesn't perform songs with her exes.

If anyone would benefit from a Joe Jonas/Taylor Swift partnership, it's certainly Jonas. While he is a star in his own right, he is just now embarking on a solo sojourn and at this point, her fame dwarfs his.
