John Legend and Chrissy Teigen Get Engaged

Congratulations to John Legend and his girlfriend, model Chrissy Teigen, who are gearing up for life as husband and wife in the new year to come!

According to PEOPLE, Legend popped the question to Teigen over the Christmas holiday, when the couple spent time together on a romantic getaway in the Maldives, surrounded by breath-taking coral reefs in the middle of the Indian Ocean.

Legend, 32, and Teigen, 26, began dating in 2007. The supermodel is best known for her work as a Sports Illustrated swimsuit model, as well as her two-year run as a substitute model on television's 'Deal or No Deal.'

Legend and his fiance will ring in the New Year at Las Vegas' Palms Casino Resort when he performs at the Pearl Concert Theater. The newly-engaged couple will follow their New Year's celebration with some much-needed downtime, before the singer heads back out on the road in February to perform in the Cayman Islands.
