Demi Lovato's new single 'Skyscraper' is inspiring not only her fan base, but fellow artists as well. Former 'American Idol' winner Jordin Sparks has recorded her own version of the track.

In the video posted on her YouTube account, Sparks says, "I am sitting here just thinking that I haven't done a song in a long time, so I figured that this would be a good one." Sparks proceeds to sing the song to an instrumental backing track, and she nails it, showing why voters chose her on Season 6 of 'Idol.'

Word of Jordin's cover has gotten back to Lovato, who tweeted, "You covered skyscraper BEAUTIFULLY!!! One of the best voices of our generation.. thank you SO much girlie. You're so sweet!!!"

Lovato's 'Skyscraper' shot to No. 1 on the iTunes chart and is well on its way to becoming perhaps the biggest hit of her career. The song will appear on her third studio album, which is still untitled and currently planned for a fall release.
