As most people know by now, Joseph Gordon-Levitt is pretty much the man. He has managed to build a reputation as one of Hollywood's most charming young actors, and JGL's adorably endearing persona also translates over to his musical endeavors. Recently, JGL performed at Ohio State University, and he absolutely delighted his fans when he busted into a cover of R. Kelly's sexy and smooth remix to 'Ignition.'

Before he broke into the surprise rendition of R. Kelly's 'Ignition' remix, Gordon-Levitt told audience members that he isn't allowed to post any covers on his personal website. He continued, "In a live setting, no one can really stop you and I figured, 'You know, f---- it. Let's play something for fun.'" JGL then broke into R. Kelly's spoken word intro, saying, "Now, um, usually I don't do this but..." before performing the "hot and fresh" track in full, giving it a funny little rock twist at times.

While the R&B R. Kelly tune may seem like a strange song choice for an indie actor like Gordon-Levitt, it really isn't so far off for him. JGL has quite the eclectic taste in music, and in the past he has covered Lady Gaga's 'Bad Romance,' Aretha Franklin's '(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman,' and Nirvana's 'Smells Like Teen Spirit' at some live gigs.

As if we didn't like him already, JGL's amazingly random R. Kelly rendition further cemented his awesome reputation as a guy dudes strive to be like and a sweet stud that girls want to be with. Oh, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, tell us what's it like to be one of the most lovable creatures walking this planet.
