Joshua Hand Performs Lady Gaga’s ‘Paparazzi’ on ‘The Voice,’ Gets Rejected

Joshua Scott Hand took on Lady Gaga's 'Paparazzi' for his blind audition on 'The Voice,' but his smoky voice failed to impress the four coaches.

The 29-year-old singer from West Palm Beach, Fla., arrived at the audition with his parents. The contestant admitted he was intimidated by the format of the show. "The coaches can't see me," said Hand. "So, I do feel a little bit stripped of my armor I put on when I perform."

When Hand took the stage to perform 'Paparazzi,' his voice and stage presence was reminiscent of John Mayer. Unfortunately for Hand, none of the coaches turned around to represent him. "I felt like Adam [Levine] had more to offer you," said Christina Aguilera, but the Maroon 5 singer remarked that he felt Hand's performance "was a little shaky."

While Hand's stint on 'The Voice' came to an abrupt end, his music career is just taking off. He recently filmed a video for his new single, 'Liar,' and has a full-length album coming out soon.
