Astute 'American Idol' watchers will remember Josiah Leming from Season 7. The singer, who left home and school to pursue his musical dream at the age of 17, is still doing his thing -- which is making powerful, singer-songwriter style music.

Leming has teamed up with PopCrush to premiere this intimate performance video for his song 'Everyday Man.'

In the clip, Leming is playing his keyboard while outside, positioned smack dab in the middle of the grass.

His voice is vulnerable and warm, reminding us a bit of Ed Sheeran, in terms of emotional resonance and heft. The performance is simple but soulful -- and while Leming is only 24, he sings as though there is a lot of life lived in his voice.

Leming will release 'Listen Close Live,' a compilation of tracks performed on his recently completed, 70-date Listen Close tour. It will include never-before-released material, along with fan faves.

The record is available digitally on Aug. 20 and fans can pre-order physical copies here. The official track listing will be revealed track-by-track on the singer's Instagram account, so be sure and follow him.

But for now, enjoy this front row performance of 'Everyday Man,' courtesy of your pals here at PopCrush. We sooooo want Josiah Leming to be our 'Everyday Man.'
