Justin Bieber is an active tweeter with over 12 million followers -- so it made sense for the 17-year-old to use it as a platform when addressing this pesky paternity suit that was dropped on his lap earlier this week.

A 20-year-old women in California is alleging that The Biebs is her baby daddy and that he knocked her up after they had sex in a Staples Center bathroom in Los Angeles. The Biebs' handlers quickly sprung into action, issuing at statement to EW decrying the claims as "malicious, defamatory, and demonstrably false." Clearly, they see no truth in any of these accusations. Further details of the suit are protected by law since a child is involved.

Nevertheless, The Biebs' tweet was simple and only lightly alluded to the goings on. He does not directly mention the suit, instead revealing that he is staying positive and not letting the gossip get to him, since he has bigger fisher to fry. The Biebs posted: "so Im going to ignore the rumors...and focus on what is real. an opportunity to help by doing what i love. Judge me on the music! Love yall!"

It's his music he wants us to judge -- specifically his holiday set, 'Under the Mistletoe,' which dropped earlier this week. The Biebs may be all of 17, but his tweet is quite responsible and grown up. We have a sneaking suspicion that this suit will eventually go away or that it'll be proven that The Biebs is not the father, Maury Povich style!
