According to the Australian Times, Igor Vorozhbitsyn was fishing in Russia when a brown bear came out of nowhere and started to attack him -- that is, until the fisherman's ringtone (Bieber's 'Baby,' of course) went off and scared the bear away.

So, was the bear just not a Belieber, or…?

"Sometimes a sharp shock can stop an angry bear in its tracks and that ringtone would be a very unexpected sound for a bear," a wildlife expert explained to the newspaper.

Vorozhbitsyn, 42, suffered serious injuries to his face and chest after the bear pounced on his back and began to claw at him. Fortunately, he was rescued by fellow fisherman after using his phone to call for help and is currently recuperating from his injuries.

And as for why the Russian fisherman had the Biebs as his ringtone? Well, he can thank his granddaughter for that.

"I know that sort of ringtone isn't to everyone's taste but my granddaughter loaded it onto my phone for a joke," he explained.

Of course, this is not the first time that Justin Bieber's 'Baby' has saved someone's life. Just two months ago, a grateful mother told how the song soothed her ill son enough to eat and help gain nutrients while suffering from a serious and mysterious illness.
