Justin Bieber fans are nothing if not, er, a loyal bunch. When the Bieb lost the Best New Artist Award at the Grammys last night -- for which he was heavily favored -- to little-known jazz bassist Esperanza Spalding, his throng of diehards attacked the musician's Wikipedia page with a venom and vigor normally reserved for those who criticize their hero.

The Beliebers were liberal with their editing of Spalding's entry and went as far as adding "facts," errors and taunts about Spalding, all of which were swiftly removed from her entry. The Bieber fans also did silly things like change Spalding's middle name to "Justin" and after her Grammy win was mentioned, someone posted, "Even though no one has ever heard of her."

The Bieb himself was bummed about the loss, telling MTV News, "I'm not going to lie – I was disappointed. But, you know, I'm gonna come back [next year] and we'll take a few home." That's the spirit! Positivity from the Bieb. Justin was not vindictive or a sore loser to Spalding, as he shook hands with her and congratulated her on her dark horse win. The Beliebers should certainly follow their hero's lead on this one.
