Justin Bieber has one less lonely girl -- oops, sorry, we didn't mean to break into song and quote his lyrics. He has one less legal drama to worry about, as he has gotten off scott free in the $9 million lawsuit that the mother of a Belieber levied at him over her hearing loss.

The woman, Stacey Betts, filed a lawsuit against the singer last summer, claiming she took her daughter to see the Biebs in 2010. The singer got the crowd so riled up that the incessant, high decibel shrieking of thousands of teenaged girls caused her to have permanent hearing damage.

Betts was seeking a whopping $9 million in damages, but TMZ reports that it was she who actually filed documents asking that the case be dismissed since she doesn't have a lawyer and can't afford to pursue any more legal action.

Betts insists that dropping the case has nothing to do with her injuries or the merits of her claims. Those are legit; she just can't pay for the legal proceedings. Mmm hmm.

We're going to go out on a limb here, but maybe, just maybe, Betts' daughter stopped talking to her for suing the Biebs. Beliebers are a dedicated bunch and won't put up with anyone, even their mothers, trying to extort cash out of their hero.

The Biebs can breathe a sigh of relief with this case coming off the books, but we're sure another will pop up right around the corner sometime soon. Being one of the most famous people in the world -- and now, the most followed on Twitter -- makes you an easy target for legal actions.
