Justin Bieber is very outspoken about the dangers of texting while driving, and now the 'Never Say Never' singer has teamed up with PhoneGuard as a spokesperson for their campaign against the hazardous  issue that is plaguing roads.

Bieber will be taking part in a promotional ads with the company, which also created the mobile app, Drive Safe, that disables your texting/e-mail capabilities on your phone once you are driving more than 10 miles per hour.

"It is tragic that almost on a daily basis there are reports of deaths and severe injuries caused by drivers who are texting and driving," Bieber says in a statement about the campaign. "We need to change the attitudes in our society toward texting and driving and I am making it one of my personal goals to make this happen."

In addition to joining forces with PhoneGuard, Bieber has made it a personal goal to end texting while driving, as well. "Every night we perform we have a banner that goes up that says 'Don't Text and Drive' so it really means a lot to me," he explains. "We are planning to continue to give $1 from every ticket sold to this cause and the addition of PhoneGuard to this team will help us expand our efforts even further."

The campaign is set up to bring attention to the issue, but PhoneGuard will also be donating proceeds to the Alex Brown Foundation, a charitable organization set up in the name of Texan teenage girl who lost her life while texting and driving.

The Brown family is particularly important to Bieber, since he surprised them on a recent episode of 'Extreme Makeover: Home Edition' to help spread awareness about the perils of texting while driving.
