Justin Bieber Posts Old Jelena Photo, Leaves Drake Disappointed

Justin Bieber refuses to let the past stay dead.

Embodying the spirit of every one of your nightmare ex-boyfriends, Bieber posted an old photo to Instagram of himself with former on-again/off-again girlfriend Selena Gomez. He initially uploaded it with no caption, and considering how well media trained the "Sorry" singer must be at this point in his career, it's probably safe to assume he was hoping to incite mass speculation and freak outs.

And plenty of fans did freak out -- cries from misguided Jelena shippers and naysayers alike abounded in the comments, until Bieber eventually relented and edited the caption to say "Just a throwback calm down," shaming everyone who thought the posting was a silent admission that the two were back together. But whatever, everyone knows Throwback Tuesday isn't a thing, so you can add Bieber's flagrant disregard for Instagram etiquette to his list of public missteps.

From the thousands of comments that have plagued the photo since, one famous face revealed himself as a secret Jelena stan: Drake.

According to a screenshot probably taken by an obsessive Drake fan who monitors the rapper's every move, he expressed his disappointed directly on Bieber’s photo, writing, “Damn thought this was a Jelena current day flick." Damn, indeed.

Despite Bieber's recently serenading Gomez with a piano version of The Temptations’ “My Girl” and Bieber implying the two may someday get back together by saying things like “We have a lot of history together so it could possibly happen,” both parties insist they’re just friends. Sorry, Drake.
