Justin Timberlake's new album 'The 20/20 Experience' is an aural experience to say the least. In a behind-the-scenes video for the album, the 'Suit & Tie' crooner introduces us to his "Cast of Characters" who assisted him in creating his third album.

Of course, Timbaland is all over the project. He is the Quincy Jones to Timberlake's Michael Jackson on the 10-song collection. The duo have worked together for years and share a strong musical bond. "He's like a brother to me," says JT about the proven hitmaker. "Tim is a genius. We kind of just go in and see where it take us."

"Sometimes a beat can start with Tim's mouth or beat-box a beat and it will give me a melody idea. Sometimes I'll have an idea for a song like 'Strawberry Bubblegum' and we'll just start creating off of that," he adds.

Along with Tim, Timberlake also received production assists from Jerome "J-Roc" Harmon who is an expert keyboardist and has a great ear for melodies. He also enlisted his longtime collaborator Rob Knox. "He's such a great beatmaker," says Timberlake. "To have him with us brought a freshness [to the project]."

Finally, on the songwriting end, Timberlake hired tunesmith James Fauntleroy, who has written songs for Kanye West, Chris Brown, Rihanna and, most notably, Jordin Sparks (her chart-topping hit 'No Air').

"He's an amazing craftsman of songs," Timberlake says of Fauntleroy. "His ideas and the way he translate them. Because a lot of people have great ideas but sometimes the way they translate them don't meet up in that way and vice versa."

In the end, Timberlake was happy to have assembled a team of studio wizards to help him create the magic that is 'The 20/20 Experience.'

"I'm so humbled to the process," he says. "I enjoyed bringing people in and feeding off their energy. Also, we had a lot of fun together. We probably drank a lot. Some of us probably smoked a lot. But all and all, it was a fun process."
