Justin Timberlake Crashes Wedding at Behest of Bride’s Father

Justin Timberlake participated in a longstanding celebrity tradition this weekend, when he successfully upstaged both the bridge and groom after unexpectedly showing up and posing for pictures at a New Hampshire wedding.

Couple Chelsey Gaudet and Ryan Parks were reportedly taking wedding photos at the Mount Washington Hotel on Saturday (August 13), when Timberlake stopped by briefly, according to Entertainment Weekly.

The quick appearance was apparently orchestrated by Gaudet’s father, who recognized the “Can’t Stop The Feeling” singer while he was eating lunch at the venue earlier in the day.

“So we were taking the first look photo and all of a sudden Justin Timberlake appears out of nowhere, shakes my husband’s had and congratulates us and takes a photo,” Gaudet told Entertainment Weekly. “We thought it was awesome of him to do that, but had no idea it would go viral.”

Timberlake scurried off after a few photos, noting he had another wedding in the area to attend.

He’s not the only celebrity to steal a couple’s thunder on their wedding day, either! Taylor Swift recently crashed a New Jersey wedding to perform an acoustic rendition of “Blank Space.”

It's a curious choice for a wedding song, considering the track's tongue-in-cheek theme and exploration of Swift's then-reputation in the media as a love-obsessed, stalker-esque character obsessed with her exes (not to mention lyrics like, “So it’s gonna be forever / Or it’s gonna go down in flames") but the couple seemed to take no issue with it!
