For today's (Sept. 9) announcement of the two new iPhone models, iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, Apple unveiled a new TV commercial featuring Justin Timberlake and Jimmy Fallon promoting the two new products

Well, kind of. In fact, chances are, you wouldn't have known it was them just by watching the commercial.

In the ad titled 'Duo,' Timberlake and Fallon (who are well-known BFFs) are heard off screen chanting an a capella version of the famous '2001: A Space Odyssey' theme song, also known as 'Also Sprach Zarathustra' conducted by Richard Strauss. In the acclaimed 1968 film by Stanley Kubrick, the orchestral song is heard in the iconic scene when the film's giant monolith makes its first appearance.

We take it Apple wanted to use the theme to mimic the introduction of the new, bigger iPhone models, titled iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus. It's certainly unusual, however, that a company would hire two of entertainment's biggest personalities for an ad and yet, use them in such a subtle way that would make it difficult for viewers to identify them.

The new iPhone go on sale Sept. 19. Click on the video above to watch the new ad for iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus.
