Justin Timberlake has a girlfriend of a different sort and her name is Mary Jane. That's right, the newly single superstar is not shy about admitting his love for marijuana and getting baked.

"Absolutely" was JT's answer when Playboy asked him if he likes to smoke weed. But it's not so he can get all loose and act like a fool, as some weed fans tend to do. For Timberlake, it aids in helping him relax and to shut down the hamster wheel that is often on overdrive in his brain.

"The only thing pot does for me is it gets me to stop thinking," Timberlake admitted. Clearly, pot has a bit of a medicinal, soothing effect on the actor/singer/dancer/'SNL' host. "Sometimes I have a brain that needs to be turned off. Some people are just better high," he mused.

Timberlake also said that his speeding brain is not the only thing he is trying to put the brakes on for. "I feel I'm just getting to a point in my life where I'm looking around, going, There's a lot to enjoy if I can just sit still, actually," he said. That's an astute observation for Timberlake, 30, to make.

The singer has made no secret about his love of weed or the fact that music is simmering on the backburner for him, and will remain so for the foreseeable future. "People keep asking me when a new song or album is coming out, and I don't know what to say," Timberlake, who last released 'Future Sex/Love Sounds' in 2006 and admits to not having a single, solitary tune in the pipeline, said. "Music is not my focus right now. It may be someday. It could happen next month or next year but right now it's not where it's at for me."

The Lake, who split with longtime gal pal, actress Jessica Biel, in March, once again explained why he tends to date fellow famous folks, saying, "You probably gravitate toward people who understand your scenario. At the end of the day you just want someone who gets you, who can be a friend." A friend with benefits ... Like his upcoming film.
