Kanye West created quite a stir when he jumped into a lake during his April 12 free concert in Armenia.

The rapper's free show was in downtown Yerevan, the country's capital city. Kim Kardashian's Twitter implies the show was impromptu, making it all the more epic that so many people turned out. When many in the crowd couldn't see the rapper, he did something pretty unexpected (even for Kanye).

"It's a problem. Can y'all see me over there? We're going to do something different, like, like, like we always do," he said, before plunging into the city's Swan Lake.

Many concert-goers quickly followed suit, hopping in the water to be closer to Kanye. You can watch it all go down in the video above.

Kim later tweeted about the situation, explaining, "Thousands of people were there! Kanye jumped in swan lake to be closer to the crowd on the other side & so many people jumped in too!"

PEOPLE reports that Kim, Kanye, North West and Khloe Kardashian are visiting the country for an upcoming episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians. The Kardashian family are of Armenian descent.

During their trip, the group reportedly visited the Armenian genocide memorial, which remembers the approximately 1.5 million Armenians killed by Ottoman Turks in 1915. They also visited Gyumri, the second largest city in Armenia. The site is still devastated from the 1988 Spitak earthquake. Records show that the Kardashians' ancestors lived in the northern city.
