From declaring Beyonce had one of the best music videos of all time all the way up to straight up stating that "racism is a dated concept," Kanye West has held his fair share of headline-grabbing beliefs in the past. But wait: He also thinks the Kardashians deserve multiple Emmy Awards.

During a recent interview with SHOWstudio, Kanye expanded on this belief, saying, “I feel proud to be in a family that has, you know, so many people breaking ground for the generations to come. I just feel it's like, 'Whoa, reality show, that's so f---king new of an art form.'”

Kanye also feels that Keeping Up With the Kardashians should've earned multiple Emmy wins by now, but the world just doesn't respect or understand the nuanced artistry involved in the realistic portrayal of rich people who are famous for being famous. He then compared the disrespect suffered by most reality TV stars with the unfair treatment rappers like Run DMC and Will Smith once faced, because it's apparently the same thing.

He said, "My wife and my family should've had plenty of Emmys by now, but reality shows are considered to be like rap was when the Mondrian [hotel] wouldn’t let Run DMC and motherf—king Will Smith stay there because they were rappers.”

Really impassioned by this subject, Kanye continues, saying he can’t understand “the idea of a reality star not being allowed into a fashion show or not being nominated for their show, even if it's the longest-running and the most popular [show].”

Do you agree with Kanye’s thoughts on the Kardashians and their groundbreaking television show, Keeping Up With the Kardashians? Will they be studied and revered years from now, long after we've all died? Let us know your thoughts!
