Kanye West Releases Collaboration With Paul McCartney Titled ‘Only One’ [LISTEN]

Kanye West surprised fans on New Year's Eve by dropping an unannounced single on iTunes. The track, titled 'Only One,' features a collaboration between him and the legendary Paul McCartney.

In a press release sent to media, Island Def Jam Records revealed that 'Only One' is the first of "a prolific musical collaboration between these two legendary artists." The two musicians gathered in Los Angeles earlier this year to begin work on new music.

'Only One' is a heartfelt ballad that West reveals he wrote by channeling his late mother, Donda West. The lyrics describe his mother's joy and she looks upon him and his daughter, North West, from heaven.

"So tell the voice inside your head to believe it / I talked to God about you, he said he sent you an angel / And look at all that he gave you / You asked for one and you got two / You know I never left you."
