Kanye West and Kim Kardashian may support Hillary Clinton for the 2016 presidential race, but come 2020 they may have different plans.

Kanye accepted the 2015 Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award last night (August 30) at the MTV Video Music Awards and, in addition to waxing philosophical on awards shows, his former beef with Taylor Swift and conversations about fresh juice at Whole Foods, he made a surprise announcement. It was surprise to us, anyway, but Kanye apparently thought it was a given: "And yes, as you probably could have guessed by this moment, I have decided in 2020, to run for president.”

Are Kanye's White House aspirations for real? Only time will tell. He'd definitely have his supporters — as often-nearly-nude VMAs host Miley Cyrus said, “Trump, you had my vote," (really?) "but now, Kanye West for president!” You know who else is ready for Kanye West 2020? Kanye's in-laws.

Kourtney Kardashian took advantage of Instagram's new landscape layout option to share this gem:

Kylie Jenner went with an image of 'Ye repping the stars and bars:

Meanwhile, Khloe Kardashian offered up a prospective campaign poster for the man who would be America's most fashion-conscious president:

Kanye's wife Kim Kardashian has stayed mum on both the speech and the nascent campaign — but she was part of one of the evening's few genuinely sweet moments, when Kanye used her as a pillow to take a pretend nap. Don't underestimate KimYe's capacity for cuteness.

Watch Kanye's acceptance speech below, and let us know if he'd potentially have your vote.
