New Couple Alert: Kat Dennings and Josh Groban Are Dating!

We thought celeb couples couldn't get any more surprising than Jennifer Lawrence and Chris Martin, but then Josh Groban and Kat Dennings happened all over Instagram.

The unlikely duo verbally confirmed their couple status to Entertainment Tonight at the Carousel of Hope Ball, where Josh was quoted as saying "I do have such a lovely date tonight." But their Instagram confessionals are what really have us saying 'awwww!'

Proving the two spend copious amounts of time on the Internet (or at least enough to get the basic lingo down) the two posted different photos from the ball on Instagram of themselves -- Kat captioning hers "I ship it" and Josh captioning his "I ship it too."

Obviously smitten with his new boo, Josh went on to gush to Entertainment Tonight: "I'm very lucky my girlfriend has joined me tonight. It's her first time hearing me sing. So I'm going to do some extra warmups tonight so I don't suck." We're pretty sure that's not even a remote possibility, Josh.

More surprising is that Kat's never heard him sing before: "I mean, we joke sing all the time," said the 'You Raise Me Up' crooner. "We harmonize on the radio, but no, I haven't really done [any real singing]. It always seems like a cheesy move on my part...like, 'Hey, you wanna hear me sing?" Well, she's definitely heard you now! Cheers to the happy couple!
