Kate Hudson and Chris Martin’s Beach Playdate Fuels Dating Rumors

We know Kate Hudson has a thing for musicians, so it comes as no surprise that the newly single actress is cuddling up with Coldplay singer Chris Martin.

Getting some quality Malibu beach time, Hudson and Martin shared a towel and a few laughs while their kids played on the beach over the weekend. Hudson recently called off her engagement to Muse frontman Matt Bellamy, and we're so happy to see her smiling again.

US Weekly reported that Hudson's sons Ryder and Bing played alongside Apple and Moses, Martin's children with Gwyneth Paltrow.

Kate looked amazing in a cute flowered bikini and sunglasses. She pulled the whole outfit together with a delicate body chain.

So does this date look purely platonic to you? Kate has recently been linked to Dancing With the Stars hunk Derek Hough but has otherwise avoiding the headlines since she and Bellamy called it quits. Chris on the other hand, has been under the press' watchful eye since his "conscious uncoupling" with Gwyneth Paltrow. He's also tracked headlines for his on-again off-again relationship with Hunger Games megastar Jennifer Lawrence; the couple is said to have officially called it quits in in October.
