Saturday Night Live paid tribute to the late Leonard Cohen as well as honored the grace and gumption of former presidential candidate Hillary Clinton during its Dave Chappelle-hosted November 12 episode, where Kate McKinnon dusted off her impersonation of the democratic nominee for a surprisingly emotional and heartfelt musical number.

Sitting at a piano, KcKinnon as Clinton, pantsuit and all, sang Cohen's iconic 1984 ballad "Hallelujah," allowing the poignant lyrics of the song to provide a sort of catharsis for heartbroken voters and ending SNL's election cycle-long coverage on a sensitive, soothing note.

"I'm not giving up and neither should you," McKinnon said after the performance, addressing the audience.
