After Kathy Griffin announced her departure from Fashion Police, chatter about her exit and goodbye letter caused more controversial buzz about E! show. Kathy recently responded to all the noise that's been made since she left and can't help but be taken aback by everyone's reactions.

"It just didn't work out," she told The Hollywood Reporter. "I'm surprised that people are so invested in this show. But I shouldn't be because Joan [Rivers] was so incredible and amazing, and it just wasn't the right thing for me."

Griffin announced that she was leaving earlier this week after only taping seven episodes of the show. In a letter she posted to Twitter, she felt that her humor didn't match the show's and was uncomfortable with "the idea of body-shaming."

"My brand of humor, while unrepentant and unafraid, is all about CONTEXT. There is plenty to make fun of in pop culture without bringing people’s bodies into it. Again people…context!” she wrote.

Her exit comes soon after Kelly Osbourne left the show. Kelly's brother Jack responded: "So Kelly quits and she's overreacting, Kathy quits and she's a hero? I find this frustrating," he wrote on his Facebook page on March 13.

Meanwhile Kelly's departure on Feb. 27 follows co-host Giuliana Rancic's controversial comments regarding Zendaya's hair at the Academy Awards last month. Rancic has since apologized for what she said.
