Katy Perry Stuns in First Post Split Appearance

Last night (Jan. 27), the starlet made her first public appearance on U.S. soil since her breakup with Russell Brand. Perry looked stunning, donning a short black dress, fierce heels and a shock of electric blue hair that almost perfectly matches her eyes. She even had a cute boy on her arm! Who was the lucky guy?

That would be Perry’s bestie, jewelry designer Markus Molinari. Perry was on hand to celebrate the opening of 1OAK Las Vegas with her pal — and to support GiveLove, an organization that provides sanitation and housing to victims of the earthquake in Haiti.

Onlookers told Us Weekly that Perry “was very bubbly and happy looking.” We’re happy to hear it!

Perry made her first global public outing two weeks ago, when she performed her final ‘California Dreams’ shows in Indonesia. Perry cancelled her People’s Choice Awards appearance shortly after news of her divorce broke, though it’s appears the cancellation may have been because of scheduling conflicts with her Adidas campaign.

While Perry was dressed to the nines for the occasion, one accessory was noticeably missing: her wedding band. We have a feeling once Brand sees these pictures, he’s going to be kicking himself. Living well may be the best revenge, but looking good is a close second.
