Katy Perry, who turns 28 today (Oct. 25), and her on-again, off-again beau John Mayer are reportedly keeping her neighbors 'Wide Awake,' like her song of the same name.

Not because they are collaborating or are literally making beautiful music together, but because they seem to be having some loud sex late at night. Additionally, the duo keeps late hours and plays music… loudly. Uh oh. That's not very neighborly behavior.

Star reports that Perry's West Hollywood neighbors are fed up with the pop duo's antics and do not seem impressed by either artist's fame. They "have very loud sex, keep very late hours and like to turn up the tunes" (quotes courtesy of Hollywood Life). They are famous and have crazy schedules, and probably don't realize that the people who surround them don't.

While it must suck to be Perry's neighbor to have to listen to all that noise, all of the time, at least the singer has found some romantic happiness almost a year after splitting with comedian hubby Russell Brand. We weren't sure that she and Mayer would last, given his serial dating history (and his tendency to blab about his romances in the press) and hers.

Hopefully they can reach a compromise with the neighbors and tone it and turn it down!
