Katy Perry has released the fifth single, 'Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.),' off of her 2010 No. 1 album, 'Teenage Dream.' During the bubbly tune, Perry sings about partying it up with friends and getting into drunken shenanigans on the best night of the week.

Like the single's cover art, the mid-tempo, light-hearted beat of the song also shows off Perry's inner geek. With sound effects that make you feel like you are back in 1985 playing 'Super Mario Bros.' on your Nintendo, Perry rhythmically sings about being young and letting loose on Friday:

"There's a stranger in my bed / There's a pounding my head / Glitter all over the room / Pink flamingos in the pool / I smell like a minibar / DJ's passed out in the yard / Barbie's on the barbeque / This a hickie or a bruise? / Pictures of last night / Ended up online / I'm screwed / Oh well / It's a black top blur / But I'm pretty sure it ruled," Perry sings in the first verse and into the pre-chorus.

Overall, 'Last Friday Night' is an effervescent, dance-pop tune that plenty of young party animals can relate to. We can just see the drunken bar sing-a-longs happening as we type this. Perry's fifth single is a far cry from the intensity that we saw on her previous single, 'E.T.'; however, Perry always manages to pull us in her with sweet-as-candy pop flair mixed with her naughty, "let's get drunk and party" lyrics.
