Katy Perry’s Meow Fragrance Hits Retailers This Month

Katy Perry is feline-like! Call her Katy "Purry!" Or "Cat-y Purry." So it's fitting that her second fragrance, which follows up her debut 'Purr,' will be called 'Meow.' The scent will pair nicely with its predecessor and will land in Nordstrom locations in mid-November, with a price range of $45 to $65.

Perry told fashion/cosmetics trade Women's Wear Daily that Meow is "a sister fragrance to Purr." She went on to say that "Purr was a little bit more floral" while "Meow is a little bit more sweet."

Perry was inspired to go with sweeter notes on her second scent because of the aromas she was surrounded by while on tour. She admitted, "It was probably because of the California Dreams tour that it was more of the confectionary world, because everything I've seen for the last year has been like cotton-candy scented or huge peppermints or massive gummy bears." Mmm, sounds yummy. At least Meow will allow you to enjoy a sweetly wafting scent, without giving you the requisite cavities that come with sugary treats like the ones Perry mentioned.

Perry also revealed that she considers Gwen Stefani, who is known for her fashion sense and her Harajuku Lovers celeb scents, to be a woman worth emulating. Perry said, "I think [Gwen Stefani is] such a great example of a woman who puts out quality products associated with her name. That's because she's not shoving it down anyone's throats. She has great taste, great timing and she's got a cool style about her."

We can say the same thing about Katy Perry. She's the cat's Meow!
