Katy Perry brightened up our day in an orange Alexander McQueen frock, which she wore to the MusiCares Person of the Year Event, held at the Los Angeles Convention Center on Friday, Feb. 8.

Rock legend Bruce Springsteen was honored, and the 'Wide Awake' singer was on hand to celebrate. She was pretty as a peach while doing so. She paired her bright-hued column gown with Guiseppi Zanotti shows and a Judith Leiber bag. She also fashioned her ever-changing hair in with long, thick, raven-raven-hued extensions, which popped against the citrus hue of her gown.

This gorgeous gown got us excited for what she'll wear for the red carpet and broadcast at Music's Biggest Night. She wore a gold dress and a bright blue bob at last year's festivities, which took place right after her split with Russell Brand. So maybe she was getting things out of her system and expressing herself with wild and crazy.

Perhaps she's toning it down in 2013.

Perry will reportedly be attending the Grammys with her fried Allison Williams, as opposed to her BF, John Mayer. She is nominated for Best Pop Solo Performance for her hit 'Wide Awake.'
