Katy Perry Says New Album Will Be ‘F—ing Dark’
The feelings that Katy Perry is experiencing due to her divorce from Russell Brand may manifest themselves on her next album.
According to The Sun, the singer said, "My music is about to get real f---ing dark." Is that a threat or a promise? While we're used to Perry being all ice cream cones and Gummy Bears, we must admit we'd like to see a darker, more ominous version of her. She also said, “You’d never see my face because my hair would be in it."
Look out world, Katy Perry's going emo!
The singer also made some other cryptic comments, such as saying, "I’d like to use a time machine and go back to a specific date, please." Could that date be in Oct. 23, 2010, which is when she and Brand got hitched?
Perry also said that she is not partying like a rock star at this point in her life, even though she has been seen with uber hot French model Baptiste Giabiconi in the wake of her split. In her trademark sarcastic wit, Perry said, "I feel like an 80-year-old in an assisted-living condo." Perhaps she can drag out the makeup, prosthetics and clothes from her 'The One That Got Away' video?
What's up with Katy Perry and these loaded comments? We can't wait to see how some of her personal peril and turmoil informs her music. If anything, fans will win, since Perry's music will operate off an emotionally charged battery.
