Update, August 4: Katy Perry's music video for the 2016 Summer Olympics anthem "Rise" is finally here! Watch her overcome gravity (not to mention a particularly dry desert climate) in the video above.

Katy first teased the music video for her 2016 Summer Olympics anthem "Rise" on July 22, and the brief clip found the singer/sort-of-most-followed person on Twitter alone in a location that's as dramatic as the bombastic track is. After parachuting onto red rocks, Perry is underwater in the following scene, only to emerge triumphant with an audible gasp for air. SYMBOLISM! We liked when it happened at the end of Gravity, too.

The visual is rumored to be directed by Paul Gore, who's also helmed videos for Amy WinehouseJohn Legend and New Order. The new single is available on iTunes now; watch the first "Rise" video teaser below.
