Five-Year-Old Cancer Patient Covers Katy Perry’s ‘Roar,’ Melts Hearts Everywhere [VIDEO]
We love the fierce determination at the root of Katy Perry‘s 2013 hit, ‘Roar,’ but the song tugged at our heartstrings in an entirely different way when covered by a five-year-old cancer patient.
MTV reports that the Make-A-Wish foundation helped stage IV cancer patient Addy’s dream of being a pop star come true. The five-year-old filmed a music video for Katy Perry’s anthemic ‘Roar.’
Yep, our hearts are totally melting.
There’s so many things to love about this video. First, Addy is channeling Katy’s signature confidence (and even strikes a pose flexing her muscles like KP does in her jungle-themed video!).
Addy looks like she’s having a blast as she belts out the lyrics in front of an audience and grins into a wind machine. She’s definitely a pop star in the making! Our favorite part, however, is when Addy rocks a purple wig a la Katy herself! We think she does the ‘Unconditionally’ singer proud.
