Once more proving that she wastes no time, Katy Perry took another step in moving on from her failed marriage to comedian Russell Brand: she boldly unfollowed him on Twitter.

Brand is still following Perry on the social networking giant. Twitter is also the only forum in which Perry has, so far, referred to her divorce. She broke her silence on the split via Twitter, telling her fans and followers that they "made her heart happy again" and reminding the public that no one else speaks for her.

Us Weekly says the move isn't shocking, considering there's now a lot of bad blood between the former paramours. The mag reports that Perry will only speak with Brand through email or via phone, and even then "she's limiting those interactions." Brand is reportedly not being as kind to Perry as initially reported, with a source revealing, "He's being so atrocious that she feel like she never really knew him."

A lot of the vitriol appears to stem from Brand's upcoming third book. Reports surfaced that he planned on dishing about his 14-month marriage to Perry in the memoir, much to the singer's dismay.

Twitter is only the latest place from which Perry's erased Brand. When she performed 'Not Like the Movies' at her concert in Jakarta, Indonesia this week, instead of being backed by her wedding footage, Perry instead had her screens playing cartoons.

A friend of Perry told Us that she's occupying herself by focusing on her booming career -- and that all of her moves are calculated and deliberate. "She doesn't want to look battered and have people for sorry for her," the pal dished. "She's very strong and confident."
