Katy Perry's new single 'Part of Me' finds the (currently) blue-haired singer (presumably) hurling lyrical barbs at her soon-to-be-ex-husband Russell Brand. That whole line about keeping the diamond ring because it doesn't mean anything is quite telling. While Perry is unloading her man, she's also shedding something else: the $2.75 million posh penthouse she bought only a year and a half ago.

The New York Post reports that Perry just listed the Tribeca penthouse. She put it on the market, and remarkably, the asking price is what she paid for it, so she's not looking to make a killing in the down real estate market. Perry bought the 1,500-square-foot duplex, located on North Moore Street, 18 months ago, just a month before she wed Brand in October 2010.

It's an impressive pad, with two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a cherrywood staircase, a heated bathroom floor and a banging view of the entire city. Perry is a proud 'California Gurl,' so maybe swank Big Apple digs just weren't for her. Or perhaps she is looking to start completely over post-divorce.

And to think that Brand could have walked away with this property in the divorce, since they shockingly did not sign a pre-nup! He chose not to pursue any financial compensation from Perry, despite being well within his rights to do so. That's an amicable split if we ever saw one.
