Katy Perry loves Taco Bell so much that she stood in line for over an hour just to eat a Crunchwrap Supreme over 5,000 miles away from home.

Katy posted a photo on Instagram of herself waiting in line at the new Tokyo Taco Bell location, captioning the photo with, "You can take the girl out of America but you can't take the Taco Bell out of the girl, okuurrrr...(also there was an hour wait fer it...Tokyo knows what's up!)."

You may be wondering why there was an hour-long wait for Taco Bell in the first place. According to E! News, the restaurant in the Shibuya district of Tokyo marks Japan's first-ever Taco Bell, so we totally understand why residents were eager to try it out, and why lines extended well past the hour-long wait for the first week or so. But why did Katy wait forever for food she can get back in the States, with so much fresh sushi available? And how will she eat chalupas with that mask on? So many questions.

Katy also recently posted a photo of "Raw pounded whale" (according to the photo text) captioned with, "How I feel on the reg (also calm down I didn't put that thing in my mouff)." This sparked a minimal amount of controversy within the comments section of her Instagram post, with users arguing that Katy was disrespecting Japanese culture while others backed her choice not to partake in the consumption of whale meat. You can check out that photo over on Instagram.
