Another day, another reason to love Kelly Clarkson.

Earlier this week, the Meaning of Life singer and all-around national treasure jumped to the defense of a gay couple after one of her followers tweeted her a homophobic comment. You see, Clarkson had shared a congratulatory tweet on Sunday (August 19) after two of her fans, who happen to both be women, got married. She actually helped out with their proposal during a 2016 concert, so of course she had to send her well wishes.

But then, one person felt the need to share their anti-gay marriage opinion under the mistaken impression that Clarkson would let it slide.

"Sorry Kelly.... love your music but I don't dig the d---s...still a sin any way you cut it," they wrote.

A few hours later, Clarkson weighed in with a perfect (and applaudably restrained) response.

"I almost didn’t respond 2 this because hate doesn’t deserve a spotlight but u know what, truth does, & the truth is that God is Love, & Love shared between two people should be praised not condemned in my personal opinion," she tweeted back. "I love u 2 although we see the world/love differently."
