Showing off the voice that made her the first 'American Idol,' Kelly Clarkson tore through some of her biggest hits during a performance yesterday at Universal Orlando for 'Ellen.'

Dressed in a black blazer and jeans, Clarkson opened with a near a capella verse of the Christina Aguilera-penned 'Miss Independent' before moving into 'Walk Away.'

Then came the familiar guitar chords from one of Clarkson's biggest hits, 'Since U Been Gone.' She let the audience sing along during anthemic chorus, changing up the lyrics slightly as she ended with the line, "Now that that loser is gone..."

Clarkson has completed work on her fifth studio album, reportedly working with producers Rodney Jerkins and Howard Benson. The album is set for a September release.
