Fans still hankering for new music from Kelly Clarkson will have to wait just a little bit longer. The pop siren recently announced that her first single would most likely debut in late August or early September.

On Thursday, Clarkson had fans excited when she went on her Twitter account and tweeted, "[I] just found out my single is hitting radio in August! Woohoo! It's sounds great as well! Can't wait for y'all to hear it!"

But her celebration soon turned to disappointment an hour later when the singer posted, "Okay please do not get angry but it might be September for my single. My calendar was messed up! I'm so sorry! It's a huge bummer waiting but I promise it'll be worth it!"

Thanks a lot, Kelly.

Clarkson's fifth still-untitled album has gone through numerous delays. Originally, the set was due to hit stores in late 2010, but was pushed back to September 2011. As this point, PopCrush believes that the album will be released in Never-uary.

Kelly Clarkson's last effort, 2009's 'All I Ever Wanted,' which spawned the hit single 'My Life Would Suck Without You,' debut at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart and sold over a million copies in the United States.
