A ten-second clip of a new Kelly Clarkson song called 'Let Me Down' has hit the web, perhaps providing a taste of what to expect from her next album, due in September.

"You’re only gonna let me down / When it counts, you countdown / You're only gonna turn me out," Clarkson sings in the short clip.

It's hard to read too much into the snippet, but it seems to have the kind of accessible pop chorus found in past Clarkson hits like 'Since U Been Gone' and 'My Life Would Suck Without You.'

It's unclear whether 'Let Me Down' will be the next single Clarkson promised, or whether it's one of the "leaked demos" she ranted about. Two weeks ago, Clarkson wrote, "I just heard another demo of mine leaked. I don’t know how or who is doing it but they’re demos and not the real deal. I record a ton of songs I write and songs that other people write when I’m making an album. Sorry for the confusion."

Hopefully this snippet got Kelly's approval, but either way, we're looking forward to hearing the rest of the song!
