Kelly Rowland was forced to bow out of this weekend's taping of 'X Factor,' but the circumstances are unrelated to a recent tiff with her fellow judges. Rowland flew back to the states early this week, and apparently fell ill with a viral throat infection, where she has been on bed rest.

The 'X Factor' released an official statement this afternoon, saying that the singer and judge on the hit television show is saddened that she is sidelined during this time period. "Kelly is devastated she won't be here for this weekend's show," a rep for the show said. "She is extremely ill with a viral throat infection and her doctors aren't permitting her to fly. Kelly will be returning to the show as soon as she has recovered. The girls have been in touch to wish her speedy recovery, and they can't wait for her to get back. More news as we have it."

Earlier in the week, Rowland had a bit of a fall out with fellow U.K. 'X Factor' judge, Tulisa Contostavlos, which fueled rumors that she fled in anger after the fight. A spokesman for Rowland released a statement after the Internet began buzzing about the on-set drama, simply stating she had a pre-planned business trip back in the U.S.
