In what can only be described as extremely insensitive, Keri Hilson went on her Twitter account last night and posted a photo (see above) of what seems to be her and a fan -- resembling the late singer Amy Winehouse -- with the caption, "*gasp* Amy Winehouse resurrected to party w/me!!! (seriously, uncanny resemblance)." Yes, we are in shock, as well.

We cannot believe that Hilson would even fathom tweeting a joke like this, especially since Winehouse was laid to rest today. What was she thinking? Just way too soon, in our opinion.

In Twitterville, once a tweet goes out there's no turning back. So with the photo immediately being retweeted on the social-networking website, fans went on the attack and expressed their displeasure with the R&B songbird's crude joke. One Twitter follower said, "How stupid could @MissKeriBaby b???? If u weren't weak b4.... Ur definitely THE WEAKEST NOW!!!!!! Not funny honey."

Hilson eventually apologized for the insensitive tweet, stating, "Come on, I mean no harm. All due respect. But really the resemblance freaked me out. This was simply the best tribute ever." She also added, "I apologize 2 anyone who might've taken it the wrong way. As a fan, I thought it was cool that she dressed up to honor Amy. I had no ill intent, but I understand how it appears insensitive...my bad twitterville."

Unfortunately, Hilson's sincere apology couldn't stop the onslaught of slanderous tweets that soon followed. Thanks to Bossip for capturing a few of the disparaging comments, which we included below.

Let this be a warning to all celebrities -- watch what you tweet, because they don't play that mess in Twitterville.
