Kevin Jonas not only opened up about feeling "depressed" following the break up of the Jonas Brothers, but he also offered up some advice to former One Direction member Zayn Malik during a recent interview.

Speaking with Z100's Elvis Duran on the Morning Show, the former Jonas Brother opened up about the aftermath that resulted when the band broke up. He said (all quotes via PEOPLE), "Notice how when [the Jonas Brothers] went dark, we went dark. We didn't do a single interview, we didn't talk to anybody, we just went dark."

He even got a little more personal, talking about how their breakup directly affected him. Kevin said, "I just got really depressed for a while. There's a mourning process!" Same, Kevin. Same.

While Kevin has certainly acknowledged that the decision for the band to end things was the right one to make, there are certain aspects of it that he misses. He admitted, "I miss touring. I miss seeing people on the road. I miss that adrenaline rush, there's nothing like it. When you go out on stage … and you greet the crowd, there's nothing like it."

When asked whether he's jealous of his brother, Nick -- get it? Because Nick has a song called "Jealous" out. It's just so clever -- Kevin denied any ill-will, saying, "I don't know how many times I literally hear this. It's the worst pun in the world from some idiotic frat guy. It's like, 'You must be 'Jealous' of Nick!' … Constantly! It's like, why? He's doing his thing. I'm doing mine! He's happy. I'm happy."

Finally, Kevin offered some advice to Zayn Malik, because everyone in the world has advice for Zayn. Not everyone in the world was in a wildly successful band that faded from the public eye, but Kevin was. He said, "In the midst of that intensity, he should go dark for a long time. You gotta go dark for at least six weeks! Like, underground, you gotta go hard, like you're done. … You have to let the dust clear. Anything you do then will be scrutinized."

Zayn, maybe you should listen to Kevin.
