The Jonas Brothers shocked fans when they famously canceled their tour two days before its start date and then officially announced their break up shortly after. All three brothers then went on to do their own things, with Nick and Joe both releasing music and Kevin creating an app and joining this season of 'Celebrity Apprentice.' And while their publicist claimed the breakup was due to a difference of opinion, music-wise, fans undoubtedly still want more details.

Thankfully, Kevin has chosen to open up about the famous breakup and let us know exactly what happened. In an interview with the Huffington Post, Kevin said: "Being able to play shows and travel together was great, but then once at the end there, the friction was too much and we just really needed to break away and kind of do our own things for some time."

He also said that there was a "constant butting of heads," making it difficult to agree on music, that nearly hurt their relationships with each other outside of the band. He went on to say: "I think that's why we're close now, because we're not in the band. We chose to be a family, not a band."

We're still pretty sad that we'll never get a 'Lovebug' 2.0 or another 'S.O.S' from the guys, but we're glad they decided to focus on their relationships with each other. Besides, Nick's solo career gave us this absolute gem of a rendition of 'Jealous,' so we really can't complain.
