Khloe Kardashian Contracted Staph Infection While Caring for Lamar Odom

Proving no good deed goes unpunished, Khloe Kardashian contracted a staph infection while caring for her estranged husband, Lamar Odom, as he continues to recover at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.

A source told PEOPLE, “She’s home on antibiotics and being closely monitored by a doctor" and that it “was exacerbated by stress.”

Because of the staph infection, Khloe has been temporarily barred from visiting Lamar in the hospital. A source said, “She is so frustrated by the fact that she was doing something good and then THIS happens.”

Another source continued, saying, "She just needs some medication and some rest and she will be fine. She's under a doctor's care and they are happy with how she is progressing.”

Khloe was forced to cancel multiple signings of her book Strong Looks Better Naked, apologizing to fans on Twitter: “Dolls! So sorry I needed 2 re schedule my book signing. I’m sick &dr’s orders are that I need to lay low until we narrow down what’s wrong.”

During her newfound down time, Khloe tweeted about her current boyfriend James Harden’s recent basketball game, writing, "Dope ass game!!!!! Overtime games give me such fun anxiety but I love the energy the team had in the 4th quarter!!”

But fans didn’t take too kindly to this, accusing Khloe of being with both James and Lamar simultaneously, despite numerous denials from Khloe that she and Lamar are romantically involved.

Rather than ignore the criticism, Khloe responded to some particularly harsh tweets with, “You should have said those to the man who went against all our vows. Judge yourself. F—k off...Divorce is still going forward. Doesn't mean I won't be there through sickness and health. I've proven that.”

Another user further accused Khloe of feigning concern for Lamar in an attempt to "look good for the media" to which she hit back, "ummmmm how does that look good in the media? He wasn't picking roses my friend. Get off my dick."

A few more positive tweets later, Khloe called it a night, writing, "Signing off.... Antibiotics +painkillers + tweeting does not equal anything good lol."
