Kid Cudi Brings Rock Side Project WZRD to ‘Conan’

WZRD, the new rock music duo featuring Kid Cudi and Dot Da Genius, appeared on 'Conan' Tuesday, playing 'Teleport 2 Me, Jamie' in their first televised performance.

A lot of Cudi's endeavors, like getting tattoos depicting slit wrists, can be filed under the "odd but interesting" label, and his WZRD project seems to be no exception. The duo created a mystical vibe on 'Conan' with dark lighting and an atmospheric track that sampled Desire's 'Under Your Spell.'

Cudi sang, "I can't stand the times when I'm alone at night / And I feel your side of the bed and it’s cold / Wide awake, I don't know the time / Cause I'm too busy texting you on my phone / I want you girl, I need your body right here / Won't you teleport to me?"

'Teleport 2 Me, Jamie' is a track from WZRD's self-titled album, which just debuted at No. 3 on the album chart, behind Adele and Whitney Houston. Cudi appeared on the cover of Complex and declared that WZRD is not just a one-time collaboration. "WZRD is forever," he said. "I’m about to be doing this s— forever. I felt so alive working on this project, man. It was so awesome."
