In an apparent effort to underscore the fact that they're no one's accessory to a rapper-on-rapper slapfight, Kim Kardashian and Amber Rose posted a selfie this morning (February 2). Over the past few hours, their photo's incited a groundswell of comments, judgements and "jokes" from the gawking public — and it seems to be the final coffin nail in a years-old former beef between the two.

"Swingers," Amber captioned her post, with the ol' "Kermit sipping on some truth tea" emoji combo. Kim's post carried the same sentiment: "Tea anyone?" According to an unconfirmed report from TMZ, Kim extended the olive branch to Amber, with the two meeting at Kim's mother Kris Jenner's house to talk and bury the hatchet.

Kanye West's wife and his ex-girlfriend weren't always so friendly: Back in 2012, Amber called Kim a "homewrecker," telling Star magazine that Kim had been sending Kanye photos and then hooking up with him while he and Rose were still together, and Kim was dating Miami Dolphins running back Reggie Bush at the same time. To make things even messier, Amber soon went on to date Reggie Bush herself — but after Reggie and Kim were officially over. "I don’t date men in relationships; I don’t do that to other women," she told RapFix Live.

In more recent years, as Kim and Kanye married and Rose herself wed her now-ex-husband Wiz Khalifa, the model-singer cooled on the subject of KimYe and seemed content to let bygones be bygones. In response to prying questions from Andy Cohen on Watch What Happens Live in October 2015, an annoyed Rose said "No, I am not talking about Kanye West or the Kardashians [...] because they’re just… not relevant to my life. My life is just very different now.”

Though the two women have thrown nary a dig in either's direction for years, Kanye dragged the both of them into his Twitter spat with Wiz Khalifa on January 27. "You let a stripper trap you,” Kanye wrote to Khalifa in a since-deleted tweet, referring to his ex-girlfriend/Khalifa's ex-wife Rose. He went on to say "I own your child!" and, even more unfortunately, “I know you mad every time you look at your child that this girl got you for 18 years.” To make matters worse, this was all in response to Kanye's false assumption that a tweet Wiz posted about "KK" referred to his wife Kim — when, in fact, it's short for "Khalifa Kush" (aka marijuana).

West ultimately offered a halfhearted apology for insulting Rose and her child unprovoked, which you can read below. Hopefully he'll follow his wife and his ex's example and veer away from grudges and petty remarks in the future.
