New details have emerged following Kim Kardashian's harrowing ordeal in Paris, specifically how the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star managed to escape after the robbers who tied her up during the thievery left the scene.

E! News confirms that Kardashian's friend and stylist Simone Harouche was inside the Paris apartment at the time of the incident. After hearing the scuffle taking place in Kardashian's bedroom upstairs, Harouche reportedly locked herself in a bathroom downstairs, where she used her phone to text the TV star's bodyguard, Pascal Duvier, as well as Kim's sister, Kourtney.

She was unable to dial an emergency number at the time, according to E!'s source, though it's unclear why.

Minutes after the thieves fled with their loot, Kardashian was reportedly able to make her way to Harouche "with duct tape on her legs," after which she told her friend to "jump off the balcony to get free." Security and police arrived soon after.

Thankfully, neither Kardashian and Harouche were injured during the event. They are currently back in the United States.

In the early hours of October 3, a group of five burglars, some masked and some dressed as Paris police officers, forcibly entered the apartment Kardashian was staying in while in town for fashion week.

Reports claim that the reality star was then gagged with duct tape over her mouth and bound at the hands and feet before being placed in a bathroom as the robbers raided her belongings.

According to PEOPLE, jewelry worth over $10 million—plus Kardashian's purse, two cell phones and some cash—was taken by the thieves.
