Editor on Kim Kardashian’s W Magazine Nude Cover: ‘We Used Her’ [NSFW PHOTOS]

Kim Kardashian attempted to "break the internet" with her recent Paper magazine photoshoot, but it's not the first time she appeared on an eyebrow-raising cover.

Back in 2010, the reality star bared a lot of skin for W magazine's November cover, a move the editor implies was very strategic.

“Everybody says, ‘Oh my God, look at the cover of Paper magazine with Kim Kardashian,’” W magazine editor Stefano Tonchi told Page Six. “I’m like, yeah, I think she is using them. We used her.”

Interesting, especially given that Kim's career success can arguably be broken down into a series of well-planned moves. Tonchi also explained that the magazine use “celebrities and makes them do something for us.”

“Kim was the perfect person to express the message of the new selfie culture,” Tonchi stated of the November 2010 cover. “It was Kim Kardashian being used by W, not Kim Kardashian using W. There’s a big difference.”
