Kim Kardashian is about to release her debut record, 'Turn It Up,' and if you're expecting the single to reveal some hidden vocal genius from the reality TV star, even she'll tell you to forget it.

A mean person could say, well, she's already famous for her ability to pose for photographs, perhaps it's too much to expect Kardashian to possess yet another talent. But, she seems to have a good-natured spirit about it all. As she tells CNN, "you're not gonna get Beyoncé here, you're not gonna get Celine Dion."

In fact, Kardashian was hesitant to take on the project at all, but credit (blame?) goes to producer The-Dream, who convinced her to, as she puts it, "step outside of my box and try something I've never done before." As it turned out, they both ended up pretty happy with the project.

Most importantly, the money's going to a good cause, an unspecified cancer organization, as both the producer and TV personality lost parents to the disease. That, and Kim's final thoughts on the matter ("I'm proud of myself that I tried something. It's all in fun") make it pretty hard to rip her for this move, right?
