Were your favorite K-pop acts dealt the cold shoulder by the 2018 MTV Video Music Awards? It's time to right that wrong — vote for the year's best in South Korean pop (eligible between July 2017 and July 2018) as part of PopCrush's very first KPMAs. Check back on August 20 to see who's named the winner in each of our 10 categories!

The South Korean music machine did not hold back this year, delivering hit after hit from a wide range of musicians and groups from all across the industry—and genre. K-pop in 2018 gifted us with emotional dance anthems, sweeping ballads, bright bubblegum jams and hip-hop fueled bangers.

While undoubtedly hard to whittle the Song of the Year nominees down to just a few, these five tracks were on repeat between 2017 and 2018, from Blackpink's ferocious "DDU-DU DDU-DU" to EXO's infectious, summery "Ko Ko Bop," which we're still blasting on our speakers.

The nominees for PopCrush's KPMAs Song of the Year include:

Blackpink, “DDU-DU DDU-DU”

BTS, “Fake Love”

EXO, “Ko Ko Bop”

TWICE, “Likey”

GOT7, “Look”

Below, place your vote for Song of the Year! Poll closes Friday, August 17 at noon EST. Winners will be announced on Monday, August 20.
